1, Q ：how thick metal can it weld or should or how long can I use it.
A: I have used the HITBOX ARC200 for 1/2 hour non-stop @150 MAPS and it went heart good welder 8mm thick.
2, Q: Does this connect to a Nema 6-50 outlet?
A : Yes, it can connect to a Nema 6-50 outlet.
3, Q :I am also wanting to attempt welding aluminum plates. Would this work for aluminum welds? Can I weld brass?
A:Yes 4043 rods Hobart makes them clean the metal well and preheat.
4, Q: Could this welder work running off deep cycle batteries connected to a 3000 or 4000 watt Generator?
A: You need at least 20amps so your 3000 watts will give you 25 amps which makes it technically possible.
5, Q :I would like longer welding leads what ends or adapters will I need ?
A: the machine has Dines-style connectors on the wires and panels. you could buy pre-made extensions with Dines connectors, or make your own, longer wires with the Dines-style connectors.
6, Q :what is the recommended stick size for this welder ?
A : 1\16 to 5\32 The stick size is from 1.6mm to 4.0mm. Welding 7018 1/8″ very well, also 6013 and 7018 3/32″
7, Q: What is the lows amps to these machine
A : Welding range of 10-190A with 40% duty cycle at rated input current 27A.
8, Q: Is this welder made in the USA
A :No US brand but made in China . but find anything that is in US! welds great for less than half of what I've paid for another machine.
9, Q :can someone give me an idea how loud is this unit is?
A: Very quiet ,It can use at home.
